The Alsace

There are few places on this earth which are so strongly linked with the terms gourmet, culinary delicacies, specialities and refreshing wines, than the Alsace.

For over 20 years now we have exploited every opportunity to be gastronomically spoiled in the Alsace.  Admittedly, a visit to the Alsace is a harsh test for the calorie-counters … the lure of Tart Flambé, “Speckgugelhopf” (bacon ring cake),  “Schuchrut Royal”, “Baeckeoffe” (meat stew) and all of those great regional dishes are hard to resist. And he who samples Alsatian asparagus with a young Muscat d'Alsace just the once will lose his heart to the Alsace forever!

Exquisite delicacies, fabulous wines, historic villages and the soft rolling hills of the route du vin are all the things that we wish to bring to you, on our Alsatian tour.

From Basel to Colmar approx. 1 hour. Along the wine route with a range of stops, one full day.

Spring and summer / in winter the winemakers take their time over the tasting of the wines. Autumn is a hectic period due to the grape harvest and is not a time that we would recommend for travelling.

Gourmet lovers, connoisseurs, wine-lovers and those budding enthusiasts.

Talk of diets is frowned upon !!

A visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg

Suggestion:

What about an extended weekend on a house boot? By day, allow the landscape to pass leisurely by and the evening, be spoiled with superb cuisine!
